manufactured coffee, the first commercial machine together with the Merlo's
love of fine coffee introduced Queenslanders to The first Bar Merlo was was established in Queen Street, Brisbane in 1992 and with such great success, three years later, the Merlo Coffee Factory (Torrefazione - Italian coffee roasting house) was opened in Fortitude Valley. Merlo Coffee is now available for you to prepare at home. Experiment with their special blends of fresh roasted international beans. Each variety has its own personality and flavour. |

* Whole beans will retain excellent flavour for up to six weeks if stored correctly. As soon as coffee is ground it begins to deteriorate. So storage in an airtight container such as the Merlo Coffee tin will retain its freshness for at least two weeks. |
*Since moisture, heat or light are the enemies of fresh roasted coffee beans, the best place to keep them is in a frost free freezer or refrigerator. |
